Please Note: A separate plumbing permit application is no longer required for a Residential Building Permit application (permit number beginning with RBP) or a Commercial Building Permit application (permit number beginning with CBP).

Please contact the Inspection Department (email) or by phone 250-475-5457 prior to submitting your application if you are unsure if your project is related to an Issued Building Permit.

• A home owner wanting to do your own plumbing work, will be asked to provide a detailed schematic drawing of the proposed project in order to prove competency.
• Tree Protection Bylaw (No. 9272) requires a permit from Saanich Parks to be issued before work occurs within the root zone of a Protected tree. 'Work' includes excavating or cutting roots or branches. Should this apply to your project reach out to Parks at treepermit@saanich.ca or 250-475-5449.
• A MySaanich profile is required to access the online application process. If you do not have a profile, register for one here.
• Prior to starting the application, please refer to the Plumbing Permits for submission requirements. All requirements must be fulfilled for the application to be processed.
• The application will timeout after 30 minutes of inactivity; draft applications will be saved for 15 days (and accessible through MySaanich Draft Applications
• The Plumbing Permit fees must be paid via credit card (2.4% convenience fee applies) upon application submission.
• The $50.00 application fee is non-refundable
