Welcome to the Permit to Construct Works on a Public Road Allowance or Municipal Right of Way application process.

Please note the following application conditions:

• You must have a MySaanich profile to make an application. If you do not have a profile, register for one before starting.
• Ensure you have all documentation, per the list below, as the online application process will timeout if inactive for 30 minutes.
• Partially completed applications will be saved for up to 15 days, and can be accessed through your MySaanich account page.
• Five (5) working days are required to process this application.
• Work can only commence upon receipt of an approved permit, and only within the timeframe outlined therein.

Application Requirements and Fees

• Certificate of Insurance (or form) with minimum $5,000,000 commercial general liability insurance and the District of Saanich to be named as additional insured (required).
• Traffic Management Plan (TMP)
• Project Category Determination Form (required)
• Traffic Management Plan documentation (as required)
• Traffic Control Plan(s)/Drawing(s) (required)
• A credit card is required to pay the $50 non-refundable application fee, (2.4% convenience fee applies) upon application submission.

Allowable file formats for documents are doc, docx, png, jpg, pdf
Maximum file size for plans is 100MB and all other documents is 10MB
